Walking Holidays in
Llandudno & North Wales

Coast, headland and mountain — all within reach of our front door. The Rosedene is the natural base for walking holidays in North Wales, whether you are after a gentle coastal stroll or a full day on Yr Wyddfa.

The Perfect Walking Base

Coast, mountains and everything in between

Llandudno offers something genuinely rare: genuine variety without demanding you get in a car. From the door of The Rosedene on Arvon Avenue, you can be climbing the Great Orme within twenty minutes, walking the Wales Coast Path to West Shore in less than half that, or heading out to Snowdonia for a full day on the mountains by mid-morning.

The town sits at the junction of three distinct walking landscapes. To the west, the Great Orme — a vast limestone headland with a network of trails, rare wildlife and views that stretch to Anglesey and the Carneddau. Along the shore, the Wales Coast Path — the world's first footpath to follow an entire country's coastline — passes through Llandudno on its 870-mile route. And within an hour by car, the mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park offer some of the most dramatic walking in Britain.

That combination — coast, limestone headland and high mountain — is genuinely hard to find. It is what makes Llandudno so well suited to walking holidays, and what makes The Rosedene a natural place to come home to at the end of the day.

The Great Orme

A limestone headland designated as Country Park, SSSI and Special Area of Conservation — with routes from a 30-minute summit stroll to the full 4-mile Marine Drive circuit.
