Da Venezia is a family-run Italian restaurant on Gloddaeth Street that has quickly established itself as one of the most highly regarded places to eat in Llandudno — rated 4.8 on Google and holding a TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice award for 2025. The kitchen is run by Michele and Sibilla, who bring an authentic Italian sensibility to everything on the plate, from the housemade pasta to the daily fresh fish specials.

The menu is Italian in spirit and execution: bruschetta classica with fresh tomatoes and garlic oil, a fritto misto of fried salmon, whitebait, squid and prawns, Caprese salad with Italian buffalo mozzarella, tagliatelle with wild boar or seafood sauce, and a selection of pizzas on proper handmade bases. The specials board is worth asking about — arancini, fresh sardines, and seasonal pasta preparations appear regularly and are consistently praised by reviewers. Desserts include tiramisu, profiteroles and gelato.

The restaurant is small — around ten tables — which means the service is attentive and the atmosphere is genuinely intimate. Reviewers frequently mention feeling looked after in a personal way that larger restaurants rarely achieve. The decor is warm and inviting, with twinkly lights adding to the atmosphere in the evenings. Gluten-free and vegan options are available.
